1st turning point of my life...!!!

In everyone’s life, there comes a point when they have to make some decisions. The decision which can change their entire life, the decision which makes them believe more in themselves & the decision which takes them to their destiny.

I also had some break-point into my life where I had to think whether to go with the old custom/ rituals or to listen to your own heart which was filled with new energy, thoughts & was willing to see a new world.

The story starts when I was in 7th std. The school was having no higher class afterwards. So it was the time to get into a new school. I was so much excited but other side; I was bothered. Why???

Because of an argument which took place at my home. The argument was choosing between girls’ high school and a private co-ed school. Private schools will be costly- it was my mom’s view.
Government high school was nearby so will be comfortable in going and coming.
No monthly payment tension, no boy’s tension and etc…. ;)

I got disappointed thinking that why so much of concerns.

Being a girl , can’t I go to the school which is far, the school which is having co-ed policy? It was obvious that private schools fees are much higher than govt. school. My brother was studying a private school.
We both sisters’ fees were lesser than his fees. But since he was a boy, he has the right to study in a good and costly CBSE school. Is it so???

I couldn't compromise with my education. 9th and 10th are the classes which drives you towards your interests and career later.

But I was unable to make a decision too because
1. Being the eldest child, I was aware of my family conditions. I could not force my parents.
2. My whole career was going to depend on these 2-3 years of my school life.

I went through a very hard time. Took one whole night to rethink the situation and my career was on the top in the priority list. Finally I told my father, I want to get into a private school.

My parents had left with no choices. Seeing my desire, they decided that whatever the expenses will be, if she wants to study, let her.

Finally I, along with my sister got admission in a private school and it began happily... :)

Inspired by a book...!!!

Before vacation i went to the novel section in the library of my college thinking that i might get some books to read in the train. I saw one book named "Wise & Othewise (A Salute to Life)" by Sudha Murthy.

I don't know why but by seeing a lady picture as the cover photo which was looking helpless, having no hope in life, waiting for someone who could actually help her, provoked me to read that book. Finally i issued that. In the train while going home, i started reading book because i found a better way to spend time.

I found that quite inspirational & heart-touching.
Inspirational because this book was a huge collection of small-small real stories which had been experienced/seen by Sudha Murthy.
May be i can highlight some of them:-

1. A man dumps his 70 year old father in an old-age home declaring him to be homeless stranger.
2. A sick woman remembers to thank her benefactor even as she is dying.
3. A tribal chief in the Sahyadri hills teaches the author that there is humility in receiving too.
4. An uneducated and untrained woman can be more confident and independent than an educated working woman.
5. A boy and a girl travelling in the flight same as the author, was unaware from the young queen of jhansi "Rani Laxmibai" and even they could not able to recognize her by seeing her statue with the horse.

There are many such stories in this book. Other important part of this book was in every story you will find some lesson to remember, to make that a part of your life.
As:-
Education is more than scoring good marks in exam or receiving certificates. Life is an exam where the syllabus is unknown and question papers are not set. There are various types of questions that can come from any direction, but one shouldn't run away.
Education and Financial independence are the tools that can help us face difficulties, but confidence must be developed throughout life.

Now let me go and finish rest of the stories.....:)

Transition from school to college...!!!

One month into college, she had not yet settled down. She herself was puzzled about it. Just four months back, she and her friends had waited for their +2 results and impatiently the taste of college life too.
She remembered how everyone had waited to shake away the steel grip of school on their life.
College was what they showed in movies. It meant freedom and fun. It meant new exciting friends. It meant being appreciated by the opposite gender. It meant one could walk in and out of the classes and get a "proxy" attendance.
And yet the first day at college had left her disappointed.
It was not just the fear of ragging- the tightening of muscles when one encountered a bunch of "senior"-looking students. It was not just the unfamiliarity of the environment-few schoolmates were with her in the same college or in the same stream. It was not even the vastness of campus with its many blocks and buildings.
As she had returned home, she asked herself-why her dreams of college seemed remote? Why even after one month of college, she felt like school was better?
By now she had made friends both boys and girls. The class had developed a kind of camaraderie.
But it was not the same. College was disappointing for her.The teachers were better at school."College is too big". There are two many people.
"The campus is great but it does not have a HEART".
Settling into college may not be the fun it often appears to be. The movies show you the fun dimension. But nothing is one-dimensional: there are many aspects to college life that a movie does not show.
The college is a microcosm of the real adult world. When you enter into a college, it's just your first small step into this new world.
It's bigger and more importantly, it is impersonal and cold.

Here faculty may not know you by your name or face even three years after you join.
Your classmates have not grown with you over the years. Nor does everyone come from homes similar to yours. Suddenly your classroom has morphed into the larger lecture halls. Now your classmates have grown in numbers and "strangers" and your lectures appear distant and remote.

Naturally you feel you do not belong.
All changes are difficult to take.
The trick to get around this problem is to approach college without expectations. Be ready to accept what you find.
Never compare it with school. From school to college is a giant leap, you can't carry the school on your back.Leave it behind.
Recall the good times and savor every minute.
But never compare the two and make yourself miserable.....

FrIeNd - TruE or SeLFisH.....!!!!!!

Hey...it has been a long time since i wrote something. I thought to write several times but couldn't make it. No worry, i will continue from this time. Whom will you call as your friend, true friend or just selfish ? FRIEND,the one whom you need badly at every path and at every moment of life. But have you felt anytime that "that friend also need you"... Just give a try to this and find "do you have some importance in their life too or not ?" A friend couldn't be judged by one situation. A friend is one who understand you, care about you, fight with you and of course love you.Whenever you are in trouble, he/she would able to say whether You are right or wrong "by holding your hands". The way you treat he/she, you also expect same kind or even better from them. A true Friend will give you this but not the selfish one... Sometime you believe him/her a lot without thinking that he/she could also hurt you. And a day comes in life where you get hurt by the person and lose all your determination, start getting disappointed, frustrated etc. You become afraid of doing friendship also. Whenever you feel that "you have to think before talking" to a friend, that's not true friendship. Don't spend a day for them, who don't even consider you for a second. Let them go. Just remember that "whatever happens in your life, it happens for a reason".

money with life or life with money......@@@@@

money...money...money.
why god has made this money?
why this money is so important in life?
why does this create so much differences among people?
these all questions are taking so much space in my mind and i have been getting forced by the surrounding to think on it.
there is not such problem in my life but still sometimes it hurts that i am not able to buy things only due to lack of money.
when people around you, talks that i have this, i have that.........they don't care about people sitting near them.
somehow if you are able to manage, that's good....but sometimes in the middle, it will be hurtful when you liked something very much and you see that you have no money to buy it.
why such type of situation comes in life....???????????
moreover, if someone gets 30-50 thousands per semester as their pocket money and you don't even have this much money as your father's salary...such a pathetic condition........:(
i don't know how to face this type of condition......
how much you will kill your demands....there is a limit of everything...when it crosses, it creates a net in your mind and you feel why god has made you this much poor......huhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!
